Top 12 Finalists

Twelve postdocs will give presentations on their research on Sept. 20 for a chance to win a $3,000 first prize, $1,500 second prize, or a $750 people’s choice award (based on audience voting). David Gilbert will emcee the event. Judges include the Lab’s Horst Simon, Elsie Quaite-Randall, and John German, as well as Livermore Lab’s Kris Kulp and local science luminary Kishore Hari. The event runs  from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Building 50 Auditorium, followed by a reception at the Lab’s Cafeteria Patio.

The People’s choice award will be selected by ballot submitted by the live audience. Winners will be announced at the reception on the Cafeteria Patio following the SLAM talks. Please contact Meg Rodriguez at (510) 486-6294 for any questions regarding the event.
